Public address and voice evacuation systems distribute audio over long cable runs to many speakers. Stepping up the amplifier output to a constant 70V or 100V voltage minimises power loss across distance and allows multiple speakers with individual power taps to share a single cable run — the standard approach for large buildings, transport infrastructure and maritime vessels. The ALT 8x8 G4 does this for eight amplifier channels simultaneously, with galvanic isolation and EN 54-16 compliant line monitoring on every channel. It also delivers 24VDC priority voltage to attenuation override relays across all speaker lines, ensuring emergency announcements are always heard regardless of local volume settings. For continuous high-load use, an integrated cooling fan version is available.

Typical Applications
• Schools and educational institutions
• Retail environments and shopping centres
• Hospitals and healthcare facilities
• Public transportation hubs — ports, stations, terminals
• Industrial complexes and infrastructure
• Maritime — ferries, cruise ships and special-purpose vessels
